Day 5: It’s all about YOU.
If I was the last person on earth, I would still make music.
In fact, it’s probably all I’d do. Just sit around in the post apocalyptic wasteland playing guitar and listening to the Beatles. So actually, now I think about it, things wouldn’t really be that different to the way they are now.
Here I am in Abbey Road Studio 2. Happy as anything. Look at that smile.
But on the other hand, it is a special feeling when our music connects with people.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the last few days on this experience with us, learning about Toucan Echo, why we do it, what inspires us. Make no mistake, Harry and I create all of this, not just the music. Here I am, sat on my sofa late on a Sunday evening with a lemon and ginger tea typing this away in to my laptop. It’s pretty rock and roll.
Wait…what I meant to say is this comes straight from us, with no managers or labels or marketing teams between us and our fans. Not just the music, but the videos, the artwork, the web pages, the stories. We love being able to bring our complete vision to the world, straight to you. And we make niche music. We aren’t trying to pander to anyone, to rocket our way up the indie rock charts. We are trying to find other people who are also on our wavelength. To find those who enjoy this type of music as much as we do. So we’ve reached out into the ether, the unbounded wilderness of the interwebs, and we found you.Holy shit, that’s cool. REALLY COOL. Thanks for rooting for us, for spending this time with us, it means a lot.

We believe and hope that if people like you have a creative calling, then we want to inspire you to go out and CREATE. Follow your instincts, go make art and put it out into the world.
We hope us doing Toucan Echo can inspire others to follow. Nowdays with the internet and all this technology at our disposal, we live in times of massive opportunity. We want you all to think bigger than before, what might you be able to achieve, who out there could you positively impact, by sharing your talent with the world?
We are early in our journey with this. But we are determined! And look forward to having you along for the ride.

Here’s our first release as Toucan Echo

Here’s our first album Walk To Circus. We wrote and recorded this over the course of 2018 and early 2019. For us it was a big step forward in terms of experimentation and production.
We wanted to break rules of being a guitar band, and make every song unique – so you’ll find everything from autotune vocals to ambient soundscapes, distorted saxophone solos to tibetan singing bowls, funk to reggae. It’s a blast!
